CHENNAI: In another developement, the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) registered a criminal case against ex-minister for Health and Family Welfare and present Viralimalai MLA C Vijayabaskar in a corruption case of irregularities in the Issuance of Essentiality Certificate in 2020 to Vels Medical College and Hospital against the regulations of National Medical Commission.
Based on the FIR, searches are being conducted at 13 places, including 5 at Chennai, 3 at Selam and one each at Madurai, Theni, Pudukottai, Tiruvallur and Tambaram.
