After learning that the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine is taking steps to create a temporary facility to quarantine people with possible COVID-19 symptoms on the premises of the Institute of Cooperative Management at Chinna Udaippu, several local people got agitated and raised objections to bring up the facility.

Since COVID-19 is highly contagious, the agitated crowd feared that the facility would affect people of Chinna Udaippu. After raising apprehensions over the move to bring up quarantine facility by the Health Department, the agitating people appealed to authorities to create such facility elsewhere and not at Chinna Udaippu.
