Claiming a ploy to meddle with reservation system, Viduthalai Siruthaigal Katchi chief and Chidambaram MP Thol Thirumavalavan has condemned the bank exams for the posting of officers.

In his statement he said that 10 percent reservation for the socially progressed communities have been carved out by pruning OBC reservation from 27 to 21 percent, SC from 15 to 13 percent and ST from 7.5 to 6 percent.

He wanted the exams held on 3,4 and 11 of this month by four Public service service banks for 1,417 postings, to be de-recognised and arrange for a new exam that is compatible with reservation system.

Launching attacks on political rival BJP, Thirumavalavan warned of nation wide protests if the saffron party tries to tinker with reservation.

He also wanted strict actions against those who had conducted these exams that are 'against law.'
