TENKASI: A priest at the Sankaranarayanasamy temple in Sankarankovil in Tenkasi died by suicide on Saturday. Jagan (30), son of Sekar, was a resident of Swami Sannathi Street in Sankarankovil. His father died a few years ago.
Jagan lived with his mother and was unmarried. He was working as a priest at the Sankaranarayanasamy temple. In this situation, Jagan died by suicide by hanging himself on the terrace of his house on the evening of the day before yesterday. On receiving information, Sankarankovil Town police re.covered the priest’s body and sent it to the Sankarankovil Government Hospital for post-mortem examination. Further probe is under way.
