Positive cases again down to below 100 in city

Chennai recorded a slight dip in the cases and recorded 98 cases, while Chengalpattu recorded 51 cases and Coimbatore 40.

CHENNAI: The cases of Covid-19 in Tamil Nadu stood at 531 cases, including one imported case from Singapore on Thursday. The total number of cases has reached 35,82,582 in the State. Chennai recorded a slight dip in the cases and recorded 98 cases, while Chengalpattu recorded 51 cases and Coimbatore 40.

The State saw an overall positivity rate of 3.5 per cent after 14,979 samples were tested. The highest TPR of 6.6 per cent was recorded in Coimbatore. The active cases in the State stood at 5,507, with Chennai reporting the highest of 2,382 active cases. A total of 522 more people were discharged across the State, taking the total recoveries to 35,39,029. No new deaths were recorded on Thursday.
