Further, he said since agriculture is the major occupation in Sankarankovil, water bodies including lakes, ponds and creeks were brought under ‘kudimaramathu’ scheme and these water bodies have been desilted to help farmers get adequate storage of rainwater.

Further addressing the people, the Chief Minister said when it comes to AIADMK, the party reminded people of late stalwarts MG Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa, who were former chief ministers who led the party and kept winning ways. The two big stalwarts laid foundation and let the party, which is live, energetic and to prosper well.
