CHENNAI: Armed with the verdict of the city court that has categorically ruled out the involvement of a second person in the Anna University sexual assault case, Law Minister S Regupathy on Monday said that the truth will continue to put to shame Leader of Opposition Edappadi K Palaniswami who, he said, has been cheaply politicising the incident to somehow tarnish DMK’s image more than securing justice for the survivor.

Responding to the “who’s that sir” jibe, Regupathy said, “Despite the High Court rapping that one cannot allege nexus with VIPs merely because the accused had photographs with ministers, EPS was running the malicious ‘who’s that sir’ campaign and intimidating girl students of the state.

The HC constituted SIT has scientifically proven that Gnanasekar did not speak with anyone and his mobile phone was in flight mode.

” EPS is the only ‘sir’ who engages in cheap politics, he said.
