“I am observing my grandfather M Karunanidhi and my father MK Stalin all along. I am not new to politics and will be seen in all future protests by the DMK,” he said.

The DMK cadres staged road rokos in various parts of southern districts demanding the government to completely roll back the bus fare hike. The protesters were taken into custody and were kept in marriage halls.

Udhayanidhi Stalin along with one of the district secretaries Moorthy visited the marriage hall and appreciated them for participating in the protest. He then met the reporters and denied the charges of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, who had held the DMK responsible for the mess in transport department.
