Sasikala is opposed by both party men and people and that is why the government and party has shown no interest. Interacting with the media after flagging off mobile ration shops in the Collectorate, Veeramani said Sasikala was a bogey created by the media. “She is unnecessary,” he said, adding that the party and government are clear on it. On differences between OPS and EPS supporters, Veeramni said. “there was no such thing and that all were united.”

Strangely the minister answered only these two political questions and said “no politics please” when reporters asked him for his comments on the recent CBI ‘visit and filing of a case against Poonjolai Srinivasan, a crony of DMK general secretary Duraimurugan.

Regarding his department he said document registration which went down by 40 per cent due to pandemic was slowly increasing now. “Though many registration related issues were now possible online, efforts were on to improve this further,” he said.
