A slew of such restrictions are making a comeback following a surge in COVID-19 infections. The district administration has also issued cleanliness guidelines to fish and meat shops.

“The fish stalls can function on other days of the week. But fish shouldn’t be cut and cleaned in shops. Only whole fish should be sold. Similarly, chicken and meat stalls can function all through the week, but only parcel service will be allowed to prevent gathering of people in front of shops,” said a statement issued by the district administration. It has also advised all with tuberculosis to undergo COVID-19 testing as a precaution.
