NMR services suspended again

A day after the Nilgiri Mountain Railway (NMR) services resumed between Mettupalayam and Udhagamandalam, the train was cancelled midway once again on Sunday due to mudslips along the track following heavy rains.

The train left Mettupalayam station with around 167 tourists. As the train reached Kallar, it was found that boulders had fallen on the track beyond the station. Nearly, 59 tourists who wanted to proceed were sent by two buses to Ooty.
