Driving without helmet to cost you more in TN from Oct 28

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu on Thursday issued a government order by making some amendments to the Motor Vehicle Act, 2019 to increase the fine amount.

Earlier, a charge of Rs 100 was levied on two-wheeler drivers for not wearing a helmet. Now, it has been increased 10 times to Rs 1,000.

Accordingly, from October 28, two-wheeler riders and pillion riders should comply with the rule and strict action will be taken against violators.
