NEET-UG results out: Rajasthan girl bags top rank

Tanishka from from Rajasthan topped the exam, followed by Vatsa Ashish Batra from Delhi. Hrishikesh Nagabhushan Gangule and Rucha Pawashe from Karnataka stood third and fourth and a tie-breaker was done for the ranking of these students.

CHENNAI: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) results were declared on Wednesday on the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA)- neet.nta.nic.in. A total of 16.15 lakh students had appeared for the test across the country out of which 9.93 lakh cleared it.

At least 1.42 lakh students in Tamil Nadu had registered for the examination and 17,567 students from government and government aided schools had appeared for the examination. Four students in the country scored 715 out of 720, with a percentile of 99.99.

The examination was conducted on July 17 and the provisional answer key was released on August 31.

The cut off is expected to go up this year as the examination was easier than the previous year and more number of students have qualified than last year.
