CHENNAI: Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday extended birthday greetings to senior Communist leader R. Nallakannu, who turned 101.

In a message posted on social media platform X, the Chief Minister said, “My hearty birthday wishes to senior-most Communist leader R. Nallakannu, a centenarian who has always guided us.”

Praising Nallakannu’s selfless public life, Stalin said the veteran leader was a freedom fighter who consistently raised his voice for agricultural labourers and stood as a living example for the younger generation. He also wished him good health and a long, fulfilling life.
