Earlier, Benedict Anto (29), the church priest, was arrested after obscene videos and pictures of him with some women went viral on social media. Benedict, a resident of Vilavancode, preached sermons in churches. Last month, an 18-year-old nursing student from Pechiparai lodged a complaint with cybercrime branch seeking action against the priest. Principal District and Sessions Judge after hearing his plea granted him bail under conditions that the petitioner must appear before the cybercrime police twice a day.
