CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu government has increased nutritious content in the food, including mutton and chicken, supplied for students in Backward Class, Most Backward Classes, DNCs and Minorities welfare hostels. A GO issued to give effect to the order, says, mutton (80 grams per student) will be provided on Wednesdays in the first and third weeks and chicken (120 grams) will be given on second Wednesdays and chicken (100 grams) will be given on the fourth Wednesdays of every month. Eggs will be provided five days a week.
