Mookambika to head MNM’s women wing

Makkal Needhi Maiam founder president Kamal Haasan on Tuesday appointed Mookambika Rathinam, who contested from Pollachi Lok Sabha seat on the party ticket, as its state women and child welfare wing secretary.

In a statement, Kamal said that he appointed Mookambika Rathinam, who is a BE graduate, as she would be an apt candidate. She is a multifaceted personality who works on various fronts including creating awareness on women education and social service. “Now she is contributing to the agricultural sector as well,” he said, adding that he hopes that she would help in the party development and also increasing women participation in it as well.
