CHENNAI: The Madras HC refused to grant stay against the order issued by the special court which clubbed all the supplementary charge sheets in the job racket case against minister V Senthilbalaji. Justice

GK Ilanthiraiyan heard a petition moved by Anti Corruption Movement, seeking to quash the order and de-link the main case against Senthilbalaji. It was submitted that the special court constituted for hearing cases against MP/MLAs clubbed the four supplementary chargesheets in the case. It had enormously increased the quantum of accused from 47 to 2,256 and witnesses from 112 to 668, which would amount to the situation where the trial will not complete, considering the voluminous nature of the case, alleged the petitioner.
