Mega vax camp every Sunday in September: Ma Subramanian

These camps are aimed at increasing the uptakes of the precautionary doses.

CHENNAI: Speaking at a mega vaccination camp in Chennai's RA Puram, Tamil Nadu's Health Minister Ma Subramanian said it is important to administer booster doses and to serve that purpose camps would be set up every Sunday in September.

The minister expressed concerned over the low uptake of the booster doses. He said only 15 percent people took the third dose, to increase the numbers the government will administer booster doses for free for this month alone starting from today, 11th, 18th and 25th.

Apart from the camps, booster doses would regularly be administer at government hospitals, primary healthcare centres and medical colleges.

Today's mega vaccination camps are being set 50,000 sites in Tamil Nadu and 2,000 in Chennai alone.
