CHENNAI: Dr Vikram Mathew, former associate director of Christian Medical College Vellore's, took over as the Director of the college in a simple ceremony on Friday. The commissioning service will be held on Sunday.
An alumnus of CMC in both MBBS and MD courses with gold medals in both, he brings to the new post rich experience.
He succeeded Dr JV Peter, who after completion of his tenure as Director, goes back to the critical medicine department.
Vikram Mathew a world-renowned hematologist had to his credit more than 500 research papers.
As Director, he will be in charge of the Vellore, Ranipet and Chittoor campuses.
