When the vehicle neared Venkateswara Nagar on the Tirupatur – Tiruvannamalai road, Suresh saw traffic police checking all vehicles. In a bid to avoid them, Suresh took a sharp turn that resulted in all five falling on the ground along with the bike. Before they could recover, a fertilizer laden tractor coming from behind ran over Indrani and killed her on the spot.

Hearing the news, the Tirupattur town police rushed to the spot and admittd the injured at the Tirupattur government hospital while Indrani’s body was sent to the same hospital for post mortem. A case was registered. Police are on the lookout for the absconding tractor driver.
