Man brutally murdered in Tiruchy

The police registered a case and are searching for the accused.

TIRUCHY: A man who was sleeping outside his house was brutally murdered in Tiruchy on Tuesday by an unidentified gang.

It is said that P Sivasubramanian (51), a resident of Kavalkaranpatti near Manapparai, working in a gas agency, went to sleep outside his house on Monday night while his mother Chellammal (72), wife Maheswari (47) and daughters were sleeping inside.

On Tuesday, when Sivasubramanian’s daughter went out to call him for milking the cow, he did not respond to her call. She went near him and was shocked to see that he was lying dead with a severe head injury.

Soon, the family members passed on the information to the Puthanatham police, who rushed to the spot and conducted an investigation. The Manapparai DSP Kavya also visited the spot, and the sniffer dog Nila was also brought for investigation.

Later, the body was taken to Manapparai GH for a post-mortem. The police registered a case and are searching for the accused.
