Madurai temple to allow only inoculated devotees

In a bid to contain the spread of COVID, restrictions have been imposed in Meenakshi Sundaresuwarar temple, which is located in the heart of Madurai city.

According to a statement from Joint Commissioner of the Temple, K Chelladurai on Saturday, only doubly vaccinated devotees will be allowed to enter the temple through four towers (gopuram) and the restriction will come into force from Monday.
