Lone school teacher from TN selected for National Award

According to a notification from the Union Ministry of Education, Ramachandran K, a teacher in Panchayat union primary school at Kellambal zone at Ramanathapuram district of the State would receive the honour.

CHENNAI: A lone teacher from Tamil Nadu was selected for the National Award for 2022 along with 46 counterparts from various states, who also received the honor.

According to a notification from the Union Ministry of Education, Ramachandran K, a teacher in Panchayat union primary school at Kellambal zone at Ramanathapuram district of the State would receive the honour.

The award ceremony is scheduled to be held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi on September 5, 2022.

The teachers will be evaluated based on performance, including initiatives to improve learning outcomes, innovative experiments undertaken, organization of extra and co-curricular activities, use of teaching-learning material, social mobility, ensuring experiential learning, and unique ways to ensure physical education to students.

In 2020 and 2021, two teachers from Tamil Nadu were selected for the awards respectively.
