LED television stolen from OPS’ farmhouse

Some unidentified miscreants got away with the television set after breaking into the upper portion of the house.

MADURAI: An LED television was stolen away from the farmhouse of AIADMK coordinator and Bodinayakanur MLA O Panneerselvam at Kailasapatti near Periyakulam of Theni district.

Some unidentified miscreants got away with the television set after breaking into the upper portion of the house.

It was a 43-inch flat screen television.

Besides, cash of Rs.1,000 was also found stolen from inside the house, sources said.

The incident occurred at midnight on Friday.

Thenkarai police after learning about the incident took to the scene of crime and held enquiries. Fingerprint experts also examined the scene of crime.

Based on a complaint, Thenkarai police have filed a case.

A special team is on the hunt to nab the accused.
