In a statement, the actor-politician pointed out certain sections alleged forced conversion by her school citing her parents’ statement. “Moreover, some claim that she stated conversion in her death statement also. On the other hand, another section cites the reason for the suicide as forcing her into cleaning hostel rooms and toilets. Whichever may be the reason, both are unacceptable. Parents send children to get educated; not to get religious knowledge or to learn household chores,” he said. He added that these types of incidents happen only in government and government-aided schools where students from poor families study. The government should expedite investigation and bring out truth and take severe action against persons responsible for the suicide. “The government should also contemplate measures to prevent this kind of incidents,” the actor-politician added.
