Issues in govt set top boxes resolved: IT Minister

"Due to technical and software related issues, there were problems in a few set top boxes (TACTV) and hence transmission was disrupted. These issues have been rectified and all set boxes are now functioning well,” said Minister, in a tweet.

CHENNAI: Minister for Information Technology Mano Thangaraj on Sunday said that the issues in set top boxes provided by Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation Ltd (TACTV) were resolved.

"Due to technical and software related issues, there were problems in a few set top boxes (TACTV) and hence transmission was disrupted. These issues have been rectified and all set boxes are now functioning well,” said Minister, in a tweet.

Earlier, there were complaints from public that they could not view the channels in TACTV set top boxes and the problem existed from August 25. When contacted the TACTV informed that there were technical issues and works to rectify them are carried out.

Minister said that the problems were rectified on Saturday and thanked the cable TV operators and public for their support and patience.
