CHENNAI: The Southern Railway has revised the date of operations of Train 22639/22640 and Train 12695/12696 after conversion to LHB (Linke-Hofmann-Busch) or modernised coaches from March which was earlier mentioned from February, said a press note.
Train 22639/22640 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Alappuzha – Dr MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express will run with LHB coaches from Central station on and from March 1 and from Alleppey on and from March 2.
Train 12695/12696 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central – Dr MGR Chennai Central Superfast Express will run with LHB coaches from Central station on and from March 3 and from Thiruvananthapuram Central on and from March 4.
Coach composition after the conversion into LHB coaches will be one first AC, two AC two-tier coaches, four AC three-tier coaches, 10 sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches, two second class coaches (disabled friendly) cum luggage cum brake vans.
LHB coaches are introduced to enhance safety and ensure a comfortable journey for passengers, added the release.
