Hello FM receives International Yoga Day Media Award

Hello FM, an FM radio station owned by the Thanthi group was conferred the “International Yoga Day Media Award” instituted by the Central government for popularising yoga.

Hello FM, an FM radio station owned by the Thanthi group was conferred the “International Yoga Day Media Award” instituted by the Central government for popularising yoga.


The award was presented by Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar to Adhavan Adityan, Director, Thanthi Group of Publications, Thanthi TV and Hello FM and Rajiv Nambiar, CEO, Hello FM, at a function held in New Delhi on Tuesday. “The International Yoga Day Media Award to Hello FM, Tiruchy, is an immense honour that will propel it to do more to propagate Yoga,” Adhavan Adityan, said on Tuesday after receiving the award.


“As Minister Prakash Javadekar said, Yoga is the gift India has given the world.  It is an immense honour for Hello FM, Tiruchy, to be recognised for disseminating this gift to the rest of the world and the nation.


“This serves as a great incentive for us to continue the good work we have been doing in the upcoming years as well.  So we will be making sure that we will garner even more attention and viewership and really proliferate yoga in the rest of the nation,” Adhavan Adityan said after receiving the award from Javadekar.


In all, the first Antar- rashtriya Yoga Diwas Media Samman (International Yoga Day Media Award) was given to 30 media houses, 11 each in radio and print mediaand 8 in the TV category. Hello FM was chosen in the radio category.
