Heavy rains: Holiday for schools, colleges declared in 4 TN dists

The State has been receiving heavy rains owing to Southwest monsoon well distributed across almost all the districts.

CHENNAI: As Southwest monsoon rainfall continues unabated in Tamil Nadu's delta districts schools and colleges would remain shut today.

The district Collectors of Thanjavur, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam and Tiruvarur have declared holidays for schools and colleges in their respective districts on Thursday.

The four districts have been receiving showers since the early hours of Thursday.
