Heavy rain likely in 15 districts of Tamil Nadu on October 7,8

As far as Chennai is concerned, the sky condition is likely to be partly cloudy for the next 24 hours.

CHENNAI: The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has predicted heavy to very heavy rain in 15 districts of Tamil Nadu on October 7 and 8.

According to a statement issued by the RMC, "Light to moderate rains accompanied by thunderstorms is likely to occur at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal due to a low-pressure area over the central West Bengal Sea today, tomorrow and the day after tomorrow. Heavy to very heavy rains is likely to occur at isolated places over Cuddalore, Villupuram, Kallakurichi, Tiruvannamalai, Vellore, Tirupattur, Ranipet, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Tiruchy, Pudukottai districts and Puducherry and Karaikal districts on October 7 and 8."

"As far as Chennai is concerned, the sky condition is likely to be partly cloudy for the next 24 hours. Light rains accompanied by thunderstorms is likely to occur in some parts of the city. The maximum temperature is likely to be around 34-35 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to be around 27 degrees Celsius," it added.
