Guv Ravi unveils Kambar statue at Lok Bhavan

CHENNAI: Governor RN Ravi unveiled a full-length statue of 'Kavichakravarthi' Kambar at the Lok Bhavan campus here on Thursday, paying homage to the medieval poet whose Kamba Ramayanam remains a cornerstone of Tamil literary heritage.

Unveiling the statue at Kambar Vanam and offering floral tributes, the Governor said Kambar's work reflected the civilisational depth of Tamil and its enduring human values.

Lok Bhavan said the installation symbolised the Governor's personal commitment to celebrating classical Tamil scholarship.

Representatives of Kambar Kazhagams from across the State, Tamil scholars, Kamba Ramayanam commentators, representatives of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, and students attended the event.
