In order to complete all the pending works, which was disrupted with the lockdown period of more than 4 months, the state government has announced that the Government offices, from September 1, will function on Saturdays too, as a mandate.

Earlier the Government offices were run with 50% work force, but with Nationwide Unlock phase 4, the state government has instructed the government offices to function with 100% employees, while Saturdays will also be working days to compensate for the working hours which have been already lost. Since public transport has also begun its services, the employees are mandated to report to work on their regular work time.

The state government is deciding the lockdown relaxations based on the recommendations of the medical expert committee formed by the government.
