CHENGALPATTU: More than 1,000 free bicycles were distributed to government school students in Chengalpattu on Monday.
During a programme held at Arignar Anna Government Girls Higher Secondary School on Monday, Chengalpattu MLA Varalakshmi distributed bicycles free of charge to students of Class 11 on behalf of the government.
As many as 1,257 students from 8 schools in the district benefitted from the event.
