Former MP Maitreyan expelled from party, says EPS

CHENNAI: AIADMK leader and former Rajya Sabha member V Maitreyan was expelled from the party.

In a party release, AIADMK interim general secretary and former chief minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said that Mythreyan was removed due to his anti-party activities. He said he was removed from all posts, including the party's primary membership. Maitreyan initially held several senior party posts in BJP before he resigned and united with the AIADMK. The expulsion came after Maitreyan renewed his ties with O Pannerselvam.
