Extension withdrawn for Chennai Beach - Vellore Cantonment MEMU passenger train till Tiruvannamalai

Southern Railway on Thursday said that Train No. 06033/ 06034 Chennai Beach - Vellore Cantonment.

CHENNAI: Southern Railway on Thursday said that Train No. 06033/ 06034 Chennai Beach - Vellore Cantonment - Chennai Beach MEMU Passenger train which was extended up to Tiruvannamalai with effect from May 2 is notified now that due to operational reasons the extension is withdrawn until further notice.

On Thursday, Southern Railway said that the extension has been cancelled and later on the same day informed that the train service will be extended up to Thiruvannamalai.

The train starts from Chennai Beach at 18.00 and reaches Thiruvannamalai at 00.05.

From Thiruvannamalai the train starts at 09.50 and reaches Chennai Beach at 04.00.

Train No. 22624 Madurai – Chennai Egmore Superfast Express scheduled to leave Madurai at 20.50 hrs on Thursday is rescheduled to leave Madurai at 02.00 hrs on Friday due to late running of pairing rake (Late by 5 hours 10 mins), said a Southern Railway statement.
