EPS failed to table five CAG reports: Thiyagarajan

Finance Minister PTR Palanivel Thiyagarajan accused the previous AIADMK regime of not tabling 5 reports of the CAG in the Assembly without any reason.

He made the revelation while interjecting during LoP Edappadi K Palaniswami’s debate on the Governor’s address. Referring to various dates on which the reports were sent to the then CM (Palaniswami), he said the reports were sent back to the Finance Ministry without reason. “Only now we know. The reports should have been tabled,” he said, before adding that they would have calculated them (finances) differently if the reports had been tabled.
