EDII-TN to conduct e-commerce training

CHENNAI: The state-owned Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII-TN) in Chennai will give training for students and youths on e-commerce solutions.

EDII-TN, in its circular, said that it will be organising a three-day training programme on e-commerce from January 28 to 30. Introduction of e-commerce, types of e-commerce models and advantages and challenges will be covered.

Topics like setting up an online store, choosing an e-commerce platform, domain and hosting, designing your store and setting up payment gateways. Product management and inventory, product research and selection, product listings and inventory management will also be tackled.

The participants will also be trained in digital and social media marketing, search engine optimisation, email marketing and pay-per-click advertising. Order management, shipping and delivery, returns and customer support, budgeting and forecasting, pricing strategies, and performance metrics, expanding product lines will be included in the training.
