DVAC sleuths raid District Registrar house in Pudukkottai

Anjana Kumar was involved in a series of irregularities while he was working in Madurai and amassed wealth disproportionate to his income by misusing his power.

TIRUCHY: DVAC sleuths conducted a raid at the house of District Registrar (Audit) in Pudukkottai on Friday for amassing wealth. According to sources, Anjana Kumar (55), District Registrar (Audit) was working as registrar in Madurai for several years and a year back he was transferred to Theni district and for the past four years, he has been working in Pudukkottai.

Anjana Kumar was involved in a series of irregularities while he was working in Madurai and amassed wealth disproportionate to his income by misusing his power.

Based on the information, the DVAC registered a case and organised a raid at his residence at KLKS Nagar in Pudukkottai and searched the house for more than four hours. A team of five, led by the DVAC Inspector Jawahar came to the house around 6 am on Friday and conducted a raid that lasted till 10.30 am. The team seized several documents from the house.
