CHENNAI: Enraged over the suicide attempt made by a college student who lost all his money to online rummy, PMK President Anbumani Ramadoss on Wednesday questioned the State government whether it has any idea to to enact an ordinance to ban online rummy.

Taking to Twitter, Anbumani said "It has been 90 days since the state government announced the enactment of an ordinance to ban online rummy but no action has been taken so far. The issue of banning online rummy and enacting an ordinance was discussed twice in the state cabinet meeting and why is the State government still hesitant on enacting the ordinance. Is the government not willing to protect the people of Tamil Nadu?"
