CHENNAI: CB-CID sleuths had retrieved over 100 documents allegedly stolen from the AIADMK office on July 11 from the house of Kolathur Krishanmurthy, north Chennai district secretary of O Panneerselvam faction of AIADMK, said officials on Monday.

A CB-CID team on Monday recovered 113 documents and other valuables from Krishnamurthy’s residence. Edapadi K Palaniswami supporter C Ve Shanmugam had filed a police complaint that OPS and his supporters stormed into the party headquarters and stole valuables from the office. The seized documents included AIADMK headquarters files, documents issued by the Anna trust, former chief minister and MGR’s wife Janaki Ammal, and land documents of AIADMK party office in Madurai, Tiruchy, and Puducherry. It may be noted that earlier, the CB-CID teams had visited the headquarters on Lloyds Road in Royapettah and carried out investigation.

The investigators also summoned the party headquarters manager Mahalingam and AIADMK MP Shanmugam to record their statements. It may be noted that former chief minister O Panneerselvam boycotted the July 11th party's general body and executive committee meeting held at the Srivaru Venkatachalapathy Kalyana mandapam in Vanagaram and barged into the party headquarters with his supporters.
