DMDK directs ex MLA to donate to kin of deceased actor Bonda Mani

Vijayakanth directed his Kancheepuram (West) district secretary and former MLA Anagai D Murugesan to hand over Rs 1 lakh solatium to Bonda Mani's family.

CHENNAI: DMDK founder and president 'Captain' Vijayakanth on Sunday announced Rs 1 lakh solatium to the late actor Bonda Mani's family and his loyalist and former MLA Anagai D Murugesan immediately handed over the money to Mani's family.

"I was shocked and saddened to hear the sudden demise of famous Tamil comedian Bonda Mani. Mani was a good person who had a lot of love, friendship and respect for me. I express my deepest condolences to his bereaved family, relatives, friends and the film industry. I pray to the Almighty God to rest his soul in peace, " Captain Vijayakanth said in a statement.

Subsequently, Vijayakanth directed his Kancheepuram (West) district secretary and former MLA Anagai D Murugesan to hand over Rs 1 lakh solatium to Bonda Mani's family.

Later on the day, Murugesan handed over the money to Bonda Mani's family and paid tributes to the late actor at his house in Pozhichalur.

Popular comedian Bonda Mani (60) died on Saturday, reportedly due to kidney-related ailments.
