Cops rescue two runaway girls from Kanchi with help of CCTVs

Police technical inspector Senthil Kumar and SI Jahir Hussain who were monitoring the CCTVs found two girls students sitting in the terminus without boarding any bus for a long time.

VELLORE: Two runaway schoolgirls were rescued due to the constant monitoring of the CCTVs set up at the new Vellore bus stand on Wednesday. Police technical inspector Senthil Kumar and SI Jahir Hussain who were monitoring the CCTVs found two girls students sitting in the terminus without boarding any bus for a long time. Based on their information police accosted the girls and they blurted out that they were residents of Mamandoor in Kancheepuram district and that they had run away from home. Police then handed the girls to the superintendent, Social Welfare Department Durga Devi for further action.
