Cong-DMK alliance intact, says AICC in-charge Sanjay Dutt

The AICC Secretary and Tamil Nadu in-charge Sanjay Dutt in Tiruchy on Monday inaugurated the signature campaign against the Farm Bills and interaction with the party functionaries on the upcoming Assembly poll preparedness.

Sanjay Dutt told reporters that the TNCC is committed to work on ensuring a clean sweep by the DMK-led alliance in the Assembly polls in Tamil Nadu. He said that the Secular Progressive Alliance is intact and the bond between Congress and the DMK is perfect and therefore the victory in the election is sure. He pooh-poohed speculations on souring of ties between Congress and DMK and stressed that the Congress is committed to work hand in hand with the DMK and at present the main focus of the alliance is to win all 234 seats and the allies has been working on the seat sharing, he said. He also announced a tractor rally on November 10 and a demo against increasing crime against women and Dalit on November 9 in the state.
