Coimbatore: 44 students ill after eating noon meals

COIMBATORE: As many as 44 students of a Corporation Middle School in Coimbatore were hospitalised after they consumed the noon meal, in which a dead lizard was found on Tuesday.

Shortly after eating the meal, the students fell ill and suffered from bouts of vomiting and dizziness.

On receiving information from teachers, a medical team rushed to the school and provided first aid to the affected students.

The staff then found a lizard in the sambar served to students.
