CM Stalin leaves for Kodaikanal on five-day break

According to official sources, the Chief Minister departed Chennai at 10.15 am and reached Madurai by air

CHENNAI: Chief Minister and DMK president MK Stalin left Chennai on Saturday (April 25) morning on a five-day private visit to Kodaikanal, travelling by a chartered flight via Madurai.

According to official sources, the Chief Minister departed Chennai at 10.15 am and reached Madurai by air. He is scheduled to travel by road from Madurai to the hill station of Kodaikanal, where he will stay for five days.

During the visit, he is expected to take a break and spend time visiting tourist attractions in and around Kodaikanal. Members of his family have accompanied him on the trip.

After completing the five-day stay, Stalin will leave Kodaikanal by road on Wednesday morning and reach Madurai airport around 11 am. He will then board a chartered flight and is expected to arrive in Chennai around noon.

This marks the third instance of the Chief Minister travelling to Kodaikanal for a brief break ahead of vote counting. He had undertaken similar visits following the conclusion of polling in the 2021 Assembly election and the 2024 Lok Sabha election, returning to Chennai before the counting of votes.
