CHENNAI: Chief Minister and DMK president MK Stalin on Saturday launched a help desk initiative to assist Class 12 students with college admissions for the 2026–27 academic year.

The initiative, rolled out by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) student wing, was announced at Anna Arivalayam. Student wing secretary Veeramani said the help desk will be staffed by experts to provide career counselling and guidance on course selection, with a focus on employability after graduation.

He said the facility will offer information on emerging and in-demand courses, assist students with college applications, and help create awareness about government initiatives such as the Naan Mudhalvan scheme.

The help desk will also support students in campus placement awareness and career planning, besides guiding them through the admission process.
With the Class 12 board examination results expected on May 8, the ‘TSC help desk’ will be set up across districts and is expected to assist over 8 lakh students transitioning to higher education.
