CHENNAI: Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday congratulated students who cleared Class 10 and Class 11 board exams and encouraged them to stay focused on their academic journey.

“Choose the right stream based on your goal,” he said to the successful Class 10 students.

For Class 11 students, he wished them success in scoring higher marks in their final year.

Taking to X handle, the CM cheered the students who did not clear the exams, “Do not lose hope as more exams lie ahead. Stay committed to education and keep progressing,” he wrote.

Meanwhile, the School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, responding to how 272 students scored centum in Chemistry, said, “The students had performed better and have been exhibiting high scores throughout. However, as the allegation has arisen, we have initiated an inquiry, and further scrutiny will be done.”

Tamil Nadu recorded a 93.80 pass percentage in class 10 exams. Girls outperformed boys by over 4 percentage points with Sivaganga emerging on top.

In class 11, the overall pass percentage stood at 92.09, with Ariyalur leading with 97.76 per cent.
