CHENNAI: Chief Minister and DMK president M K Stalin on Sunday paid rich tributes to late DMDK founder-president ‘Captain’ Vijayakanth on his second death anniversary, recalling his compassion and service to the people.

In a social media post, Stalin shared a photograph with Vijayakanth and remembered him as a leader who earned the immense love of the Tamil people through his deep concern for the poor and his unwavering commitment to helping those in need.

“On the remembrance day of ‘Captain’ Vijayakanth, I fondly recall the noble deeds of my dear friend, the founder of the DMDK, who won the boundless affection of the Tamil people with his large-heartedness and compassion for the underprivileged,” Stalin said.
