CHENNAI: A car caught fire and was engulfed in flames near Mettupalayam, Coimbatore after it plunged into a pit following a collision with a bridge on Annur Main Road.
The driver was found death at the scene, having succumbed to severe burns.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
